Dublin City Fm and Dublin Bus announce new initiatives for city commuters.

103.2 Dublin City FM and Dublin Bus today announced that they will work closely together in the run up to Christmas to ensure that commuters have service updates about buses in the city. This new Partnership will see the Chief Inspectors from Dublin Bus locating themselves in the Traffic Control Centre at Dublin City Council for the Christmas period where LiveDrive is broadcast from.

“We have been giving traffic commuters up-to-the-minute information each day for over ten years” said Mick Hanley, CEO of Dublin City Fm. “For the first time this year, we will also be able to broadcast information which is relevant to bus commuters. This is a terrific development as Christmas is a particularly busy time of the year in the city. It will be marvellous to be able to give up-to-the-minute traffic reports which include bus information” he added. The programme will also provide information about the busy Nitelink services in the capital city.

The new arrangement will also see Dublin Bus sponsor LiveDrive for a period of six months starting from today.

Speaking at the announcement, Dawn Bailey, Head of Marketing and Sales at Dublin Bus,
said “We are working closely with Dublin City FM to ensure that our commuters get service
updates, as they happen, for their morning and evening commute. We will also be giving
advice on the best value ticketing options for your journey, and we’ll have some great ticket
giveaways as well”.

This new partnership is designed to allow LiveDrive to continue to provide the best options and information for commuters in the city to ensure they get the best journey times possible.
