Ghost Stories For Kids

nightmareclubsig2

Can't think of somewhere to bring the kids this Saturday that is FREE and fun?

The Ghost Bus will be parked outside the Mansion House this Saturday and in it will be some of the authors of the Nightmare Club.

Nightmare club is a series of books with titles like: Help! My Brother’s a Zombie, Mirrored, A Dog’s Breakfast, Guinea Pig Killer, Frankenkids and The Wolfling’s Bite.

The books are short, fun, brilliantly-illustrated and do not have to be read in any order.

The event sounds like a lot of fun and is suitable for kids between the ages of 7 and 11

More info on the even and ones like it can be found HERE.

And The Winner Is...

Here it is, the broken hearted tale of woe that won an overnight Stay at the 4 star Cartlon Shearwater Hotel & Spa. Including a 30 minute Spa Treatment at the Heather & Earth C Spa and then after dinner in the Canal Bar & Bistro. Plus the next morning they get to enjoy a Marnego's Breakfas

Congratulations to Alan in Dublin 8

Worst valentines ever: Went for dinner with my now ex partner my brother and his wife. Ex never spoke to me once during the dinner but kept boasting to my sister in law about how great all her previous partners were as she got more and more inebriated. When asked by my sister in law why she was being so rude my ex replied, for everyone to hear, that she had left me a month ago but just haven't told me yet. She said “why sit at home alone on valentines night when this idiot is paying for everything”

OUCH and YAY

Every cloud eh?

Many thanks to the Carlton Group for the prize and thank you to everyone who entered!

These are some of the key findings from Dublin City Council’s Canal Cordon Count, the results of which were presented to the council’s Transport and Traffic committee yesterday.

Dublin City Council counts all vehicles at 32 locations entering the streets bordering the city’s canals in November between 7am and 10am.

Some of the key findings in 2012 were:

An increase of 15.6% in cyclists. Cycle numbers doubled between 2004 and 2012
The figure for pedestrians was up by 17.3%
