LiveDrive Alternative Christmas Anthem

​This year on LiveDrive, we're on the search for an alternative Christmas anthem for the show. We know we all love to hear the classics such as 'Fairy Tale Of New York' and 'Driving Home For Christmas', but we also want to shine a light on some lesser heard seasonal tunes.

How it works is simple. Over the next few days we're looking for nominations from all of you ​for a song that you think deserves the title of 'LiveDrive alternative Christmas anthem'. It can be Irish or from abroad. Then, our panel of judges will whittle it down to a shortlist of three songs. On Friday evening's programme, these songs will go head to head for your vote, with the winner being playlisted on every show next week as our inaugural alternative Xmas anthem. On top of this, the listener who originally nominates the winning track will receive a special Christmas stocking from us here at LiveDrive.

To participate, all we need you to do is get in touch via text, whatsapp or tweet with your nomination for alternative Christmas anthem along with your name. Nominations close this Wednesday at 6pm.

Al this week on Live Drive we're giving away rounds of golf for one of the finest Parkland golf courses in Laois, Portlaoise Golf Course.

Salute Competition All Week On Live Drive

All this week we have family passes for Salute the military vehicle show this weekend Saturday 31st August & Sunday 1st September, 10am to 6pm

See living history, re-enactment and military vehicle displays at Salute! 2013.

They'll have vehicle driving displays, including the 63 Ton Chieftain tank and the 16 Ton 432 and 434 APCs.

There's only one place in Ireland you'll see these vehicles show off what they can really do, at Salute!

After a great success last year, they'll have their static vehicle and living history displays indoors with re-enactments and driving in two outdoor areas. No matter whether it's rain or shine, it's a great day out for all the family.

To celebrate the 140th Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show at the RDS from the 7 August to Sunday the 11th we are giving you the chance to win a pair of tickets to the Show.
