Ireland V France Restrictions


Ireland play France in the six nations this Saturday the 9th of March

Shelbourne Rd, Lansdowne Rd, Londonbridge Rd and Bath Ave will all be closed.

Expect heavy traffic inbound on the Grand Canal, around Donnybrook, Pembrooke Rd and the RDS.




If you can, avoid driving to the stadium do. You can take a dart, or if you want to take a bus any of the below routes will leave you near the action.

Routes 4 or 7 to Northumberland Rd.
Routes 1 and 47 to Tritonville Rd.
Routes 373838a3939a and 70 to Baggot St. / Waterloo Rd.

Tonight's abnormal load is brought to you by Dun laoghaire Harbor and Guinness on Victoria Quay.

The convoy will leave Dun Laoghaire at 10 tonight and make it's way to Victoria Quay arriving around 6 Am. It will come in along the Rock Rd and Merrion Rd to Merrion Square along Nassau St and the South Quays. 

Rolling closures will take place as these exceptionally sized vehicles make their way to Guinness.

Here is the full route:

DĂșn Laoghaire Harbour – Monkstown Crescent – Rock Road – Merrion Road – Shelbourne Road – Grand Canal Street Upper- Clanwilliam Place - Mount Street Lower - Merrion Square North - Clare Street - Contra Flow will be in place on Leinster Street South - Nassau Street – Grafton Street Lower and College Green. Convoy will then continue along Westmorland Street – Aston Quay – continue along South Quays and enter the Diageo Plant at Victoria Quay.

Abnormal Load

Another exceptionally sized load is making its way to Guinness tonight, this time it will be making it's way from Dublin Port to Victoria Quay. It will leave the port at 11 and should reach it's destination at 3 AM.

The route it will take is a little unusual, it will travel via Sheriff St, the North Circular Rd, turn at Doyles Corner then make it's way to Church St and then to Victoria Quay.

There will be rolling closures as the load makes it's way through the city.

The Full Route is as follows:

Exit Port, East Wall Road, North Wall Quay, New Wapping Street, Sheriff Street Upper, Seville Place, Portland Row, North Circular Road, Doyle’s Corner onto Phibsborough Road, Church Street, contra flow onto Arran Quay and Ellis Quay turn left onto James Joyce Bridge, turn right onto Usher’s Island, Victoria Quay into Diageo Plant (Guinness).
