Works will take place on Dodder Park Road commencing next Monday the 14th of October . The works will be carried out at night starting at 7.00 p.m. 

Monday 14/10/13 – Lights out / covered at the Springfield Avenue / Templeogue Road junction. ( N81 Junction )

Tuesday 15/10/13 - Lights out / covered at the Springfield Avenue / Templeogue Road junction. ( N81 Junction )

Wednesday 16/10/13 - Lights out / covered at the Springfield Avenue / Fairways junction.

Thursday 17/10/13 - Lights out / covered at the Dodder Park Road / Rathfarnam Road junction.

Closure of Coolmine Road

Fingal County Council will be temporarily closing Coolmine  Road at Coolmine Level Crossing from 9 pm on Saturday 12th to 10 am on Sunday 13th of October for maintenance works at the level crossing.

The alternative routes available are:

(i) via Clonsilla Road; Main Street, Blanchardstown; Castleknock Road; Laurel Lodge Road; Carpenterstown Park East and Carpenterstown Road.

(ii) via Clonsilla Road; Diswellstown Road and Carpenterstown Road.

Local access will be maintained.

Dublin Simon Community Fun Run

The Dublin Simon Community Fun Run will be held on Saturday 12th October 2013 from 10 am the following restrictions will apply in the Phoenix Park on the day and for the periods hereinafter mentioned:


Roads to be closed to traffic between 8.00 am and 12.00 pm:

Acres Road

Roads to be closed to traffic between 9.30 am and 11.30 am:

Survey Road (between Mountjoy Cross and its junction with Furze, Knockmaroon andUpper Glen Road)
Upper Glen Road / Glen Road (between the junction of Furze and Survey Roads toChapelizod Gate)
Military / Corkscrew Road (between Chapelizod Gate and its junction with WellingtonRoad)
Chesterfield Avenue (between Phoenix Monument and Mountjoy Cross)
North Road (between Ashtown Gate and Mountjoy Cross) — except for access to Farmleigh

Gates to be closed to traffic between 8.00 am and 11.30 am:

Chapelizod Gate (Hospital access only)
Knockmaroon Gate — Closed until 11.30 am

Traffic will be halted or diverted at the following locations:

(a) Chesterfield Avenue at Mountjoy Junction
(b) Chesterfield Avenue at the Phoenix Monument
(c) Junction of Wellington and Khyber Roads
(d) Chapelizod Gate — entry will be restricted to hospital traffic only
(e) Ashtown Gate — no right turn on entry

Parking of vehicles will not be permitted except in areas set aside for that purpose
