He's the 344th Lord Mayor for Dublin and the nephew of our current minister for education Ruairi Quinn and was elected yesterday evening.
The Labour Councillor aims to use his time in office to promote the city as a gateway for business in Europe.
Fellow Labour Councillor Henry Upton was also elected as deputy Lord Mayor.
