Dublin City Triathlon Road Closures

The "Dublin City Triathlon" will be held on Sunday 25 August 2013 and will make it's way through the Phoenix Park

The following roads will be closed:

Knockmaroon Road                                                              8.00 am - 1.30 pm
Upper Glen Road                                                                  8.00 am - 1.30 pm
Lower Glen Road                                                                 8.00 am - 1.30 pm
Acres Road                                                                          8.00 am - 1.30 pm

Main Road from Phoenix Monument and Mountjoy Cross         8.00 am - 1.30 pm

Wellington Road                                                                   8.00 am - 2.30 pm

Gates to be closed:
Islandbridge Gate                                                                 7.00 am - 3.00 pm
Chapelizod Gate                                                                   8.00 am - 1.30 pm
Knockmaroon Gate


Traffic will be halted or diverted at the following locations:

Main Road at Phoenix Monument
Main Road at Gough Junction

Parking of vehicles will not be permitted except in areas set aside for that purpose.


Chapelizod Road (from South Circular Road / Islandbridge to Chapelizod Gate, Phoenix Park) from 8 until 1 will also be closed.    


Traffic Management Plan

· Traffic on Conyngham Road wishing to travel on Chapelizod Road to Chapelizod will be diverted via South Circular Road, Sarsfield Road, Con Colbert Road and St Laurence Road.

· Traffic on Lucan Road, Chapelizod, wishing to travel on Chapelizod Road to Conyngham Road will be diverted via St Laurence Road, Sarsfield Road, Con Colbert Road and South Circular Road.

· Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
