Children will absolutely love this year’s summer break as they take to their local library for this summer’s Children’s Art in Libraries Programme. Brought to you by Dublin City Council, this programme will keep the little ones busy and allow their creative streak to continue all summer long. Kicking off the programme in true drama style is Theatre Lovett; they will present and bring their mix of unique theatrical creativity and storytelling to Rathmines, Coolock and Pearse Street Library this July and is just one of the FREE programmes that the Children’s Art in Libraries Programme will be delivering in libraries across the city this summer.
Fifteen libraries in total will host a programme(s) where a broad range of artists will work with children of different ages to explore work which is unique and focuses on the personal creativity of each individual child.
Highlights include:
Theatre Lovett’s Fable Tales and Tall Stories
Pinocchio: The Paper Opera, Sound Story; a music programme for under-fives
Dublin Fairytales; a drama, writing and storytelling workshop for children.
