Road Closures in Skerries this Weekend.

Fingal County Council will temporarily close a number of roads in the Skerries area for the purpose of holding a duathlon race.

The roads will be closed from 10.30am to 12.30 p.m on Saturday 1st February 2014.

The roads in question are:-

Portion of the Blackhills to Balcunnin Road from Adrgillan Entrance to St. Monica’s Road.
St. Monica’s Road from the Blackhills to Balcunnin Road to Kearney’s Tree.
Portion of the Killalane Road from Kearney’s Tree to Man O War Corner.
Portion of the Knock Cross to Palmerston Road from approximately halfway between
Kennedy’s Corner and the Man O’ War Corner to the Balrothery- Courtlough Road .
Portion of the Balrothery- Courtlough Road to The New Lane Road.
The New Lane Road.
Portion of the Killalane Road from The New Lane Road to the Cross of the Cage Barnageera Road.
Portion of The Cross of the Cage Road to Barnageera Road from the The Cross of the Cage  to Ardgillan Entrance.

Alternative routes available as follows:

Access to Ardgillan Castle will be via the R127 Balbriggan-Skerries Road and Barnageera Road.
Access to Balrothery will be via the R127 Balbriggan-Skerries and the R132.
Access to Courtlough will be via the R132.

Local Access will be facilitated where possible and diversion signage and marshals will be in place for the duration of the closure
