One Direction Croke Park Restrictions

82,000 screaming fans (or at least 3/4 of those will be fans, the rest long suffering parents with weapons grade ear plugs) will descend on Croke Park and the area for three nights starting tomorrow and ending on Sunday, much to the relief of locals.

So what does that mean to traffic? Well it's bad news.

From 3 PM each day a Garda cordon will be in place at the junction of Lwr Drumcondra Rd and Clonliffe Rd, Fitzroy Ave and Whitworth Place.

There will be further closures on North Circular Rd at Gills Corner and Jones Rd and restrictions in place at Clonliffe Rd and Ballybough Rd.

The best advice, if you don't have to be in the area, don't go there. Ballymun Rd is often a much better option than the Swords Rd to get to the M50. Fairview and Amiens St will see extra volumes. The wider berth you can give the area, the happier you'll be.

If you are going to the concert. Please take public transport. It is a short walk to Croke Park from Connolly Station so you can take the Dart or the Luas to there.  Below is an excellent breakdown on the public transport option to the event.
