Women’s Mini Marathon 2014 Road Closures

The following roads will be closed to facilitate the Women’s Mini Marathon on Bank Holiday Monday June 2nd 2014:

Merrion Square South 08.00hrs to 18.00 hrs

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is also closing of the R138/Stillorgan Road (from Fosters Avenue to Belfield Bridge) on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd June 2014 from 13.30hrs to 16.30hrs

The proposed diversion route for this temporary road closure is via Fosters Avenue and Roebuck Road.

Traffic Management Plan for the event:

Inbound traffic on Rock Road will be diverted via Strand Road, Beach Road, Bath Street, Irishtown Road, Bridge Street, Ringsend Road, Pearse Street and Tara Street.

Inbound traffic on Stillorgan Road will divert via Foster Avenue, Roebuck Road, Clonskeagh Road, Sandford Road, Ranelagh Road, Charlemont Street, Harcourt Road, Camden Street, Camden Street Lower, Wexford Street, Aungier Street, South Great George’s Street, Dame Street, Lord Edward Street, Christchurch Place, Winetavern Street to the quays.

Outbound traffic on College Green wishing to travel south on Stillorgan Road will be diverted via Dame Street. South Great George’s Street, Aungier Street, Wexford Street, Camden Street, Charlotte Way, Harcourt Street, Harcourt Road, Charlemont Street, Ranelagh Road, Sandford Road, Clonskeagh Road, Roebuck Road and Fosters Avenue.

Outbound traffic on Townsend Street wishing to travel south via Merrion Square will be diverted via Pearse Street, Ringsend Road, Bridge Street, Irishtown Road, Pembroke Street, Beach Road, Strand Road to Rock Road.

Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
