A whole host of entertainment will be there to celebrate the start of the Christmas season. with the Army Band, Gospel Choirs and the Monica Loughman Ballet Group.
There'll also be a family fun zone with festival carousel, giant games and other surprises. There will also be an attempt to break Dublin’s 2011 record for the most Geansaí Nollaigs in one place. Come dressed in your Geansaí Nollaig and get yourself into the record books!
The festivities on O'Connell Street will kick off at 3.30pm with the Christmas tree being switched on at 6.00pm.

As a result of all of this O’O'Connell Street, will be closed from 2 PM to 8 PM
The following diversions will be in place:
Southbound Buses and taxis on Parnell Square East and Cavendish Row wishing to access D’Olier Street will be diverted via Parnell Street, Marlborough Street, and Eden Quay.
Traffic on Parnell Street and Marlborough Street wishing to access D’Olier Street via Cathal Brugha Street will be diverted via Seán MacDermott Street Upper, Gardiner Street Lower, Beresford Place, Memorial Road, Memorial Bridge, Georges Quay and Burgh Quay.
Northbound traffic on O’Connell Bridge wishing to access Parnell Street will be diverted via Eden Quay, Beresford Place and Gardiner Street Lower.
Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
